What does 2018 look like for you?

What’s it all about?
Why are we chasing numbers and sizes, a certain look, a new bag, when we should be chasing our dreams.

Why do we have the goal to be skinnier, prettier, taller, shorter, bigger boobs, smaller butts. Different colour hair. Why.

What makes us hate ourselves so badly. What drives us to believe that we need to look a certain way?

What should it be about?
Health.
Happiness.
Travel.
Happy work life.
Family.
Friends.
Balance.

This list used to look very different for me. As long as I can remember my number one goal and resolution was weight loss. Always the first on the list, be this weight, feel this way. But what I never realized was I could be that weight and be unhappy. I could be that weight and be unhealthy. I could be that weight and be unsuccessful.

I have worked a lot in the past couple of years at becoming who I truly want to be. Doing what I truly want to be doing. Focusing on what’s important, who’s important, and where my time is most valued.

Every year brings with it new challenges, but I guarantee they will also provide lessons and make you a better YOU. Take every opportunity to learn, grow and be genuine.

If you made resolutions for 2018 and already feel like you’ve lost the battle, maybe it’s time to seek some help. Regardless of what your goal is, there are professionals who can help with any issue you’re having.

If your goal was to become more financially independent, contact a financial advisor.

To reduce stress and anxiety, find a therapist that best suits you, go to as many as you need to find the right one.

If you’re struggling with nutrition, seek out a naturopath or homeopath who can guide you in the right direction.

You need to move more and you’re always in pain- find a kinesiologist or trainer who can keep you accountable and help you move properly.

It takes a team of people, and that’s ok. The healthiest, wealthiest, most successful people in the world have a team for a reason.

Find yours.
